Mitsuru Martins

I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from Belas Artes São Paulo and have worked as an independent designer for over fifteen years.

Throughout my career, I have worked across different areas of graphic design, developing visual identities, illustrations and graphic materials. I have also developed visual communication projects for the nonprofit sector, where I translated academic concepts and complex data into more accessible visual narratives for broader audiences. I have also explored spatial design and objects, developing projects that investigate the relationship between design, materials, processes and the contexts in which they exist.

Through these experiences, I have developed my practice by understanding that each project has its own context, audience and characteristics. To create design that communicates expressively, I seek to understand the elements that compose each project and how they interact with one another.
